Silver Special Collections encourages UVM students, faculty, staff and alumni to share your COVID-19 experiences for the University Archives. Little information about the experience when UVM canceled classes and quarantined students on campus during the 1918 influenza epidemic made its way to the archives. We are reaching out now to document the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic to help future generations understand what happened and how we responded.
Share your stories about leaving campus, remote instruction and learning, studying and working from home, how you are keeping in touch with your friends and family, changes in your daily routine, and how it feels to be away from campus.
We welcome all formats, including journal or diary entries, essays, poems, zines, comics, photographs, videos, voice recordings, and your saved social media posts.
We are also interestd in non-digital materials that document your experience. If you would like to submit physical items, please contact us in advance to make arrangements.
How to Submit
- Complete a donation form. If your contribution includes interviews or content created by others, have them complete a form as well.
- Send your submission by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. For larger files, use UVM's file transfer service and send the files to our department email address.
We will review submissions and make them available when we return to campus.
Please contact us if you have any questions.
